  2. theanimalupstairs: In the heat of the moment, I forgot to include the other section of this exit statement.I would like to thank all of the loyal fans for their support and kind words, and a special thanks to the band members.Sierra Shardae was with Animal from it’s very early stages and stuck with TAU until its final breath. She’s currently working on her own solo EP entitled, “Fever Dreams”, and has been chipping away at said project in LA. She has been  my right hand for a long time, and she will be missed.Given the random relocations, I have had the pleasure of meeting/working with many talented musicians/artists, such as Nash Breen, Matt Hogan, Vahak Janbazian, Aaron Goodrich, Nick Perow, Kyle Wolff, and my twin, Dan Mrotek.However, Dan and Kyle are currently in Distant Cousins.With that, thankfully enough, all other relationships are still on positive and communicative terms.So thank you all, once again. Feeling love from others is a high, no matter how many or little people are listening. See you all soon. Xo

Animal existed in 4 different states in the U.S., over the course of 2+ years. It was the reason why I woke up every morning, and the one true outlet that I had to make peace with all of my craziness. It was even harder to come to this decision due to the recent press that TAU was graced with from various blogs and publications, as well as a small- but loyal following.There is, however, a silver lining. This is not the end of my musical career, or creative endeavors. Animal is being reincarnated as we speak. A new project, with a little more aggression, and a little less side-stepping.It’s name is “Distant Cousins”. If you like drums- we have three drummers. If you are sick of love songs- we are too. Jigsaw puzzle piece rhythms, meets squealing guitar, meets sea-salty words. Add a pinch of magic, a dash of darkness, and you have Distant Cousins.So let’s all wave, blow a kiss, and strap in.
